NORBr raises €3M from Alstin Capital to build white-label payment infrastructure for payment operators

NORBr, the white-label payment infrastructure for PayFacs, PSPs, ISOs and ISVs, raised €3 million in November 2024 in a round led by Alstin Capital, with participation from Portfolion, lead investor of the previous round. The funds finance omnichannel features, payment operations automation and compliance tooling for payment operators.

Amsterdam, November 25, 2024. This announcement, updated in October 2026 with NORBr's current positioning, explains why NORBr raised, what it builds for payment operators, how the funds are used, and what the lead investor and NORBr's CEO said at the time.

Why did NORBr raise funding from Alstin Capital?

NORBr raised to remove the two barriers that stop payment operators from launching or modernizing a platform: high development cost and long timelines. Building payment infrastructure in-house means long integration, certification and compliance work before the first merchant goes live.

NORBr gives operators that infrastructure ready to use, under their own brand: connections to PSPs and acquirers, routing, checkout, reconciliation and operations tools, online and in store. The round, covered at the time by Tech.eu and EU-Startups, backs that model.

What does NORBr build for payment operators?

NORBr provides the layers a PayFac, PSP, ISO or ISV needs to serve merchants without building them: provider connections, routing and fallback, checkout, onboarding, reconciliation and reporting. Operators keep the brand, the merchant relationship and the commercial terms.

Operators use it in two main ways: to launch a new branded PSP without starting from scratch, or to upgrade a legacy platform without a full rebuild. New providers are added through the global payment network, and routing rules decide which provider handles each transaction.

How is NORBr using the funds?

The €3 million round accelerates three parts of the roadmap: omnichannel features, including the management of payment terminals; operational automation for payment operations teams; and compliance tooling. It also funds targeted hires to expand the platform and client support.

Those areas are now live on the platform: in-store payments and terminal reconciliation with Matcher™, reconciliation and settlement across channels, and compliance work such as the Visa Global Registry listing described in the Visa registry article.

What did Alstin Capital say about the investment?

Andreas Schenk, Principal at Alstin Capital: "We are thrilled to support such an experienced team in building the next generation of payment infrastructure. This is evident in their enterprise-level technology and impressive customer base. The no-code, omnichannel solution offers two key advantages: Firstly, it enables the fast and secure integration of new payment service providers worldwide, both in physical and online retail. Secondly, NORBr's infrastructure facilitates the modernization of legacy systems. We couldn't be happier to have such a talented team in our portfolio."

What did NORBr's CEO say about the round?

Nabil Naimy, CEO of NORBr: "With our extensive experience in building payment platforms, we've seen firsthand the challenges of high investment, delays, and the ongoing demands of platform management. NORBr was created to solve these issues, providing a robust and innovative infrastructure that supports legacy upgrades and facilitates new market entries for our clients. Our lean, capital-efficient approach has enabled us to deliver a highly impactful solution that maximizes client value."
