mCash is a mobile payment service in Uganda. It was launched in 2009 by MTN Uganda, the country’s largest mobile network operator. mCash allows users of mobile phones to transfer money, make payments, and recharge their mobile phone credits.
To use mCash, users need to have an MTN Mobile Money account and a compatible mobile phone. They can then perform transactions using their mobile phone. Transactions are secured using PIN codes and identity verifications.
mCash is widely used in Uganda, especially for commercial transactions and person-to-person money transfers. The service is easy to use and available throughout the country, even in rural areas where traditional banking services are limited.
